About

I’m Adam. I live in Boise, and I build web and Mac apps with AI.

I’m not a developer by training. My path to today went through computer repair, web development, a stretch of WordPress freelancing, then years of product support. These days my day job is customer success, which is mostly about closing the gap between how something actually behaves and what a frustrated person can do about it.

That turns out to be useful when you’re building. Years of reading support tickets teaches you what confuses people and where things tend to break, so you build with that in mind from the start.

I’m still learning the engineering side. AI took a lot of the gatekeeping out of who gets to build software, the same way WordPress did for publishing. I’m not sure everyone in dev circles is glad about that, but I am.

Recently I’ve been exploring NativePHP for Mac menu bar apps, and Cloudflare’s developer platform. This site is where I keep what I build and what I work out along the way, including the parts that didn’t go right the first time.

If any of that is useful to you, or you just want to compare notes, I’m around.
